Avengers 4: 9 Surprise Cameos That Could Still Happen

1. Miles Morales

When Donald Glover's Aaron Davis (who also goes by the Prowler identity in the comics) made reference to his nephew, hardcore Spidey fans were undeniably excited.

Though confirmation of his name was still in doubt, Kevin Feige said later in the year that the reference was indeed a nod towards fan-favourite Spidey character, Miles Morales. The hero, who was introduced in 2011, has risen in prominence in recent years, popping up in animated series and, with the arrival of Insomniac's Spider-Man video game, the gaming medium too. Sony's own Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will also mark the character's cinematic introduction, and with all those other formats set to be broached, the only one remaining is live-action.

Tom Holland's Peter Parker is one of the MCU's brightest spots, and it's clear that Marvel cast the actor with the intent of having him stick around for a while. However, that shouldn't mean that Miles can't be New York's other wall-crawler, with both Peter and he having shared the mantle since the character made the jump to Marvel's main continuity in 2015.

This doesn't mean that we'll see Miles swinging around with Marvel's OG web-slinger anytime soon, but it does mean that he could make a cameo in Avengers 4 - thus planting the seeds of an arc that could, potentially, see the character becoming the MCU's second Spider-themed hero. At least in Phase 4.
