1. Will Loki Actually Appear?
Conspicuous by his absence, despite Idris Elba's credit is Tom Hiddleston. Now, ordinarily this might not be of any note, but the interesting thing for fans of Loki is that when Elba confirmed he was involved, he did so by unveiling that he had been filming with Hiddleston. That sequence was assumed to be either another vision by Scarlet Witch designed to torture (though it's unlikely that he would be haunted by his brother, whose last act was a heroic one in The Dark World), or the announcement of Thor's death on Asgaard. Either way it's intriguing to wonder whether Whedon has decided to leave Loki out, though you'd have to wager that they'd simply leave him off the poster and allow his appearance to be a fan-baiting moment without official announcement. And then of course there's also the issue of Natalie Portman. If Selvig is involved, and Thor and Jane are still going steady, it would make sense that she'd be involved in some way. So why not include her on the poster, unless she's involved in something so dramatic that her very inclusion would be distracting. Might she be up for the chop to give Thor a reason to leave Earth ahead of his sequel? What do you think of the new Avengers poster? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
