6. Hulk

Why He Could Die: Hulk's solo movies have proven themselves to split critics more than any other titular hero in Marvel. You look at Iron Man, Thor and Captain America and you'll see almost universal praise for their movies. Go back a few years and look at Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Howard the Duck and everyone hammers those films. Hulk's movies - and specifically the Edward Norton version which is part of this continuity - seemed to divide critics and performed fairly underwhelmingly by Marvel's standards. For that reason, they might be unsure about making any more Hulk movies and killing him off could make that decision for them. Having Ultron kill a character of Hulk's power level would also cement him as a massive threat to the Earth. Why He Could Live: According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, the Hulk has a key role to play in Age of Ultron. This leads us to believe he's going to be the one to save the day when all else fails - his brute force pounding Ultron and his forces in to submission. Plus, there's the fact that he's a truly major character and an essential part of the Avengers who is surely going to appear in future movies, such as Infinity Gauntlet - just as he did in the comic book arc of the same name. Likelihood: 2/10. Marvel could surprise us with a huge death like Hulk. But it's incredibly unlikely - he's simply too big a character.
