Why He Could Die: He's been criminally under-utilised in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date, with a cameo in Thor and a role in the first Avengers movie that saw him under Loki's control for half of it being the only times he's appeared - and this would suggest that Marvel aren't altogether that interested in the character. Jeremy Renner has publicly expressed discontent at his treatment and it's unlikely that his relationship with Marvel Studios is as strong as some of the other actors in the movie, so he could be seen as dispensable. There's also the fact that Hawkeye is one of the out-gunned human characters who could so easily be taken out by a super-powered robot like Ultron in a single shot, making his death more realistic than characters who are as ridiculously durable as guys like Thor and Hulk. Why He Could Live: Like Hulk, Hawkeye has been described as having a big role to play in this movie by Kevin Feige and, after his poor treatment in the Avengers, his death in this movie would probably be met by a sea of dissatisfied fans. Hawkeye's ongoing comic is one of the best in the world right now as well - the character is at the height of his popularity - and some fans will be wanting to see him specifically as a result. There's so much that could be done with him - killing such a major player from the comics would be a huge waste. Likelihood: 6/10. The fact is, there is a chance he could die. He's nowhere near as popular as the likes of Iron Man, but his death wouldn't be seen as a cop-out. As far as the heroes go, his chances of dying are up there with the rest of them. In fact, he could be one of those in the most danger.
