Avengers: Endgame - 11 Big Questions After The Super Bowl Spot

4. Does Steve Have PTSD?

Marvel Studios

Steve Rogers may have dropped his Captain America persona - and shield - at the end of Civil War, but he's very much back in the game now. It's unclear where this shield comes from, but what matters is that he has it.

Also visible here is that Steve's hands aren't exactly looking in great condition, suggesting he's quite recently been in a fight or something similar, and his hands are shaking quite badly as he attempts to strap the shield on, which might mean he's now suffering from PTSD. Given what he went through, that would certainly be understandable.

There's also a question of whether he's properly back as Captain America now. He has the shield, and he's leading the Avengers again, but maybe that's just the actions of a lost man trying to make sense of a tragic situation.
