Avengers: Endgame - 12 Plot Hints From The New Trailer

Let's get this out of the way: if Peggy Carter doesn't show up in some capacity in Avengers: Endgame, sh*t is going to hit the fan.

Perpetual badass Peggy Carter was a huge part of Captain America's heroic journey and played an integral role in the birth of S.H.I.E.L.D. itself, as shown in her beloved-if-short-lived spin-off series, Agent Carter. In other words, she is an incredibly important part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there are dozens of reasons why a team of time-traveling Avengers would benefit from paying her a visit.

This is supported in the new trailer by not only giving us a black-and-white flashback of Steve carrying her casket from Civil War but also in using her incredibly moving dialogue from The Winter Soldier over the top of the trailer. Here's hoping this is all the Russos' way of hinting that Hayley Atwell is back for one last go at the character.

And let's be real; if Cap gets his hands on a time travel device of any sort, there is a zero percent chance that he isn't going to go back and finally make good on his promised date with Peggy.
