8. How They Preserve The Timeline

The Leak

Obviously, the minute anyone starts talking about time travel and messing with timelines, any learned film fan will begin to worry about paradoxes and causality. Because if the Avengers go back in time to steal the Infinity Stones, as has been widely speculated, all they're going to do is wipe their own lives out of the timeline. Who's to say what they'd end up like with even the slightest change to their pasts?

But luckily, one "leak" from someone who has apparently worked on the production (though clearly in a vague way, given how little they remember specifically at times), that will be covered by the fact that the Avengers won't steal ALL of the Stones. They'll instead go back and chip bits off the Stones from somewhere else in the timeline.

Alternatively, another "leak" suggests that the Avengers will go and steal the Stones but then later go back and put them back.

Well, chipping the Stones is ridiculous, because in order to do that you'd need something stronger than them to break them apart. Pretty sure that's not how they work.

And the idea of removing them from the timeline only to then put them back wouldn't in any way change the trajectory of the timeline. So file this in the BS folder.
