Avengers: Endgame - Every Oscar It Deserves To Win
4. Best Picture
Everybody knows that the most money doesn't correlate to the best film, however, now that Endgame is the highest earning movie of all time, it seems likely to follow the trend set by its predecessors to at least get a nomination.
Both Avatar and Titanic, the second and third highest grossing movies of all time respectively, were nominated in this category, with Titanic winning the award in 1998.
Both of these movies were huge spectacles to behold, and the same can be said of Endgame. Besides, there are so many nomination in this category nowadays, so why can't a spot be reserved for Marvel's biggest film to date?
Marvel Studios submitted Black Panther for the award last season and received a nomination, which was understandable given the huge cultural impact of the film. Considering that everyone and their mothers have seen Endgame, surely a level of cultural impact can be argued.
When The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King won the award in 2004, it was seen as an award for the entire trilogy, rewarding the hard work spent over years to unfold one long narrative.
With Endgame capping off a twenty two film run of storytelling, this could also be the case for Marvel.
