Avengers: Endgame - Every Oscar It Deserves To Win

Marvel have a history of nominations in this category also, with their first instalment, Iron Man, earning a nod in 2008, but losing out to another comic book adaptation, The Dark Knight.

Also, last year, Black Panther earned nomination for both of these categories, unfortunately missing out on both awards.

With so much action going on throughout the over three hour runtime of Endgame, the sound mixing and editing accompanying the visuals of these superheroes clashing with Thanos and his forces was key to immersing the audience, keeping them engaged for such a long period of time.

Given this was such a mammoth movie to work on, they really knocked it out of the park.

If you are still unconvinced that Endgame is deserving of a nomination in this category, remember that the Transformers franchise of all things has two nominations in sound mixing and one for sound editing.
