Avengers: Infinity War - 10 MCU Heroes Strong Enough To Face Thanos
1. Thor
Over the course of the MCU, Thor has proven himself to be just as strong as the Hulk, but he has the agility and small size that his big green colleague lacks.
And since he's a smaller target, Thanos will find it a lot harder to land a blow, and it will prove more difficult for the Mad Titan to blast Thor with a beam of energy from the Power Stone, or hit him with any other projectile-based attack.
Plus, Thor has the ability to keep his distance and damage Thanos with his signature thunder attack, which, after the events of Thor: Ragnarok, feels more powerful that it's ever been.
Thor has already faced incredibly powerful beings like The Destroyer, Loki, Malekith, Hela (who cut out Thor's eye, and he still won), Ultron, and Hulk, and has matched, bested, or held his own against each one of them - no other hero in the MCU has a resume quite like his.
And while the absence of the great hammer Mjolnir does give Thor less options in combat, Ragnarok's final battle proved that he doesn't really need it to destroy his opponents (and besides, there are rumours that Thor can be seen forging a weapon in the Infinity War trailer, so he may find a replacement).
The long and short of it is that Thor is The Avengers' most valuable combatant, an essential part of the fight against Thanos.
