Avengers Infinity War: 10 Predictions That Were Entirely Wrong

4. Hela Wasn't Thanos' Goddess Of Death

In the original comics, Thanos' search for all 6 Infinity Stones comes mostly from his need to impress the Goddess of Death, rather than his movie counterpart's surprisingly understandable goal of saving the galaxy by wiping out half of it. I said understandable, not reasonable.

Though it has been repeatedly stated that the villain's love interest wouldn't show up in the movie, there was still the rumour that Hela, the MCU's version of Death, would have some part to play in the story. In fact, there was even a back and forth on whether or not she was actually going to be the cause of Thanos' downfall, either directly or indirectly helping The Avengers take down the titan.

That didn't happen though, and in fact the first 10 minutes pretty much wiped out any lingering Asgardian plot threads altogether. Hela could come back in a sequel, but considering she exploded along with a planet and was only briefly mentioned in Infinity War, it's probably not likely.

Still, Death is a different character in the comics, so while Hela may not show up, that other villain still might.
