5. Captain Marvel Didn't Join The Fight

Infinity War is already packed with superheroes, but knowing the ridiculous cast in advance didn't stop fans from speculating about who else could show up to join in on the fight against Thanos. The most heavily rumoured one was of course Captain Marvel, who's due her own solo movie just before Avengers 4 is due to drop.

It seems as though Marvel were keen on waiting until that flick to introduce such a pivotal character though, rather than beginning her story in an already overstuffed flick that's pretty much the culmination of every included hero's story.

That said, her presence wasn't completely absent, as audiences did get a tease of the character in the haunting post-credits scene - but they'll have to wait until Avengers 4 to see the hero in the flesh.
