8. Why The Decimation Of Xandar Wasn't Included

Unfortunately for Glenn Close's Nova Prime and John C Riley's Rhomann Dey, we didn't get to see how the story of the Nova Corps was wrapped up in Infinity War. Somewhat disrespectfully, they were just unceremoniously killed off (presumably) off-screen when Thanos' decimation of Xandar was mentioned by Thor.

Think about it: there must have been a huge fight, even with the Nova Corps in smaller numbers thanks to Ronan's attack on the planet, because the Corps would have been furiously committed to defending the Stone at all costs and Thanos wouldn't have taken well to resistence.

So why was it left out? Well, Joe Russo told students at Iowa City High School (via Reddit) that it just wasn't possible to fit it in...

Because we thought it'd be one too many- there's so many stones he has to collect and you get into a trap and we thought - we knew where it was in Guardians - so it was easy to deal with it off screen.

Still a shame, though.
