Avengers: Infinity War - 15 Major Rumours You Need To See

According to Project Casting - who put out a notice for alien extras for Infinity War - the film is going to include aliens with lots of prosthetic requirements. Here's the breakdown:

"Aliens: We are now taking submissions to be considered for a fun background role on this upcoming movie. Looking for men and women, all ethnicities, who appear 18 – 50’s, who are TALL with a SLENDER or athletic build. MUST be comfortable being PAINTED (including on your face & any exposed body parts). Also looking for people willing to have prosthetics applied to their face, in addition to being painted. Bumps will be provided for makeup & prosthetic applications."

Does that mean that we're going to see the Chitauri - previously aligned with Thanos in The Avengers - might be back to help him out again as glorified cannon fodder?

It would certainly make sense: Thanos needs cannon fodder just as Loki and Ultron both did before him. And the descriptions of those aliens do seem to fit the Chitauri, even if they were previously mo-capped in the first Avengers movie.

There are of course other possibilities - especially if we're going to be seeing lots of alien worlds explored - but this would go some way to filling in the gaps of what happened to the Chitauri when they were left on the other side of the portal.
