Avengers: Infinity War - 23 New Secrets Revealed
12. The Story Takes No More Than 2 Days
There are obviously lots of little details in the commentary that haven't really been explored elsewhere before. For instance, if you're wondering how long it takes for Thanos to get from killing Loki to snapping everyone else out of existence, the commentary confirms that the film's events occur over a period of no more than 2 days.
At another point, the commentary confirms that there were 70 Wakandan warriors as extras on set who were digitally boosted out to about 500. And if you want an indication of the size of the battle they faced, they were up against about 10,000 aliens. Or "space dogs" as Rocket calls them - which was a late addition to the script after someone in an early test screening called them “space dogs” on the score sheet. It was deemed so funny that it made it into the film.
11. How The Guardians Learned Grootish
Infinity War obviously establishes how Thor knows Groot's language - he took it as an elective on Asgard - it's not immediately clear how the Guardians can understand him.
Just as Rocket Raccoon must have, the commentary reveals that they all picked it up over time. No lessons, no prior knowledge, just time spent with him.
