16. The Avengers Aren't "Over"

When Tony Stark meets Bruce Banner again and reveals that he's lost track of Vision and that Captain America is the most likely person to be able to find him, Banner suggests he just call their fellow Avenger. At that point, Tony says the Avengers are "broken up" (like the Beatles? Banner asks).

Except, they're not, are they?

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, which happened not so long ago in the MCU timeline (somewhere between 10 months and 2 years, in fact), Tony Stark attempts to recruit Peter Parker to be an Avenger and mentions the fact that Vision is still an active member. An early draft of the film almost had him and War Machine involved in the ferry sequence.

In other words, the Avengers continued to operate after Civil War, so it looks like Tony just straight up forgot all of the stuff that happened in Homecoming.
