Avengers: Infinity War - Every Character Ranked By How Likely They Are To Die
21. Ebony Maw
Ebony Maw is arguably the most dangerous of Thanos' "children" because of what his powers mean: as the trailers have shown, he is capable of turning a hero's mind - and thus their powers - against them, which is better than any feat of strenght of battle training.
He'll come up against Doctor Strange - and presumably defeat him initially - but the fact that Strange seems to turn up on Titan AFTER he's encountered Maw suggests the Sorceror Supreme gains the upper hand. But that doesn't mean he's killed off: even with his own role increasing in Avengers 4, Thanos will need one remaining sidekick at least, and it would fit that that would be the most cunning of his underlings.
He's the most likely to avoid direct battle, after all.
20. Spider-Man
You might think that suggesting Spider-Man could be even remotely up for the chop is ludicrous, but when you consider the fact that any deaths in Infinity War might be rendered redundanct by the time travelling element of Avengers 4, it all becomes a lot more feasible.
Adding to that, footage shown at D23 seemed to show a gravely injured Spider-Man apologising to Tony Stark and we know from other fotoage that the battle on Titan doesn't go well for the heroes with Stark specifically looking devastated. Given that he tried to keep Spidey out of the Avengers picture for his own safety, the idea of him being killed off as an emotional weapon against Stark would absolutely fit his arc.
And it's not like Doctor Strange couldn't go back in time and save him anyway...
