23. Star-Lord

With a third Guardians movie in the pipeline, there's just no way Marvel would be willing to kill off the franchise's poster boy. Not when he's such a big draw for that sequel.

He might not be as powerful as he was when his father was alive, but Quill still has Celestial genetics and proved that he can withstand the power of an Infinity Stone, so he's probably one of the most likely heroes to resist Thanos when he uses the Infinity Gauntlet (fully powered or otherwise).

Trailer footage has shown him battling Thanos directly, but it's more likely he'll just be injured rather than killed by the time Thanos wins the exchange on Titan.

22. Happy Hogan

He might be one of the MCU's longest-serving whipping boys, but Tony Stark's sidekick Happy Hogan is surprisingly resilient when you think about it. He's already dodged the Grim Reaper in Iron Man 3, anyway.

Much like Pepper Potts, the only way he'll be killed off is as a means to destabilise Tony Stark, but he has been spotted on the Avengers 4 set and it would be needlessly cruel to throw him under the bus at this stage in his MCU career. Whipping boy or not.
