9. Scarlet Witch

By the look of the trailers, Scarlet Witch is going to lose control quite badly in the Wakandan battle sequence, which can only spell disaster for her and her team-mates. She's still way too volatile and too much of a wildcard to really know what that means and it's hard to really even pin down what her powers are at this stage.

What we do know is that she's emotionally unbalanced and if Vision ends up being killed, she's probably going to turn into a sort of weapon of mass destruction. Even if that doesn't lead to a disaster for her team-mates, her emotional state could make her a liability to herself and she might well end up being killed off not long after her love.

8. Heimdall

For a while, Heimdall looked like dead meat for Thor: Ragnarok - especially when it was revealed that he would be leading the resistance against Hela - but he somehow came out of the film unscathed. Despite the fact that Idris Elba had been quite vocal about how little he actually enjoyed playing the character.

But the Asgardians aren't out of the woods yet as they ended Ragnarok staring down the barrel of Thanos' gun (well, his spaceship anyway) and there's going to be a cost to pay when the Mad Titan boards them. Given that Heimdall's most recent position was as the refugees' protector, it makes sense that he'd be the one to fall on his sword trying to do the same.

His story is already over and that sort of end would be a fitting one for the character.
