Avengers: Infinity War - Every Character Ranked By How Likely They Are To Die
7. Nova Prime
Back in the first Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, the Guardians unwittingly laid a death sentence on the people of Xandar by giving the Nova Corps the Power Stone to "protect" in the event of another evil force like Ronan coming for it.
Sadly, the next villain to do some will be Thanos and he's definitely not in the business of taking prisoners. As the film-makers have promised that the start of the movie will deliver on Thanos' threat in a very noticeable way, it seems the Mad Titan will belatedly deliver on his promise to Ronan to destroy Xandar. After getting the Stone, of course.
That means death to all the Xandarians and Glenn Close's horribly wasted Nova Prime chief among them.
6. Iron Man

He might be the keystone for the entire MCU, but if there's one message we've been repeatedly told in the run-up to Infinity War, it's that Robert Downey Jr cannot play Iron Man forever. Even with Marvel willingly paying him increasingly astronomical amounts to keep him interested, the actor will move on soon and we'll be left without an Iron Man.
And don't even think about him being replaced: the Russos and Kevin Feige have made it pretty clear that there's no way they could ever replace Downey Jr (just as they've said about Chris Evans too).
You could choose to believe that Iron Man will save the day and then retire to a happy old age with Pepper Potts but that would ignore the fact that Tony has already made it painfully clear that he can't turn his back on his duty, no matter how it impacts him. In other words, the only way to allow RDJ to retire is to kill him off.
