Well, strictly speaking, they probably weren't a thing at this point, which explains why there's no mention. The only way they'd tie in is if the rumour about Tony Stark being somehow linked to the Soul Stone through his arc reactor (or his nobility that will make him sacrifice himself and thus reveal the Stone magically) ends up being true.

Relevant Story Details

The Russos have already spoken about how much of a key figure Tony Stark will be in the heart of the Infinity Saga story, talking up a "specific connection" related to his core beliefs. And that's where the first Iron Man movie comes in.

This was the point where Tony realised that his actions had accountability (in terms of arms dealing) and where he also decided that he was better off putting his skills and resources to benevolent use. Watching Yinsen lay down his life for him had a huge impact that shouldn't be under-estimated, as it's already made Tony almost sacrifice himself once to protect the Earth. And you know damn well that he'd do it again if called upon in Infinity War or its sequel (he will be).
