Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger
17. Black Widow
Black Widow has proven herself more than capable of assisting the Avengers, on many occasions, but Infinity War is a different level entirely; like Hawkeye, how will a human assassin be able to help defeat what is basically a God?
But again, there will be smaller, less imposing foes to deal with in Infinity War, like the Black Order, that Widow will prove useful against (just like she did against the Chitauri in the first Avengers movie), leaving the larger enemies to her stronger allies.
What Will Happen To Her? Widow will sport a new blonde hairdo in Infinity War, presumably to mask her identity after helping Captain America - a criminal - escape from the airport in Civil War.
She'll hold down the fort on Earth, while The Avengers who are better equipped to travel into space (Iron Man, Star-Lord, etc, as seen in the Comic-Con/D23 footage) battle Thanos throughout the cosmos.
Also, Black Widow is still looking for redemption, to wipe that red off her ledger. She wants to make up for her past as an assassin by doing some good, and that's all she's tried to do for the last handful of movies.
So perhaps this is where she finally realises that the rest of the world, and the Avengers, accept her as a hero, and she's able to move on from her dark past.
Infinity War is the end of some things, but that doesn't mean people have to die - it could be the end of Widow's self-doubt issues, a change in character that's symbolised by her change in hair colour from a dark red to a bright, hopeful blonde.
