Avengers: Infinity War - What Is Next For EVERY Character

Fate: Survived

The sight of Rocket Raccoon sitting devastated on a tree-trunk in the immediate wake of Thanos' snap is one of the images burnt into the collective consciousness after Infinity War. How he'll get over the SECOND death of Groot is a hard thing to think about, even if it's possible to get a new little Groot from Stormbreaker's handle.

If it turns out that some of the survivors trade their lives for those who "died" after the snap, expect Rocket Raccoon to be one to lay down his life. It would fit for the once-arrogant, insular figure to do something that altruistic, after all, even if he'd be a huge miss in Guardians Vol 3.

Fate: Survived

The Science Bro survived the ending but he has some issues of his own thanks to his conflict with Hulk and as Mark Ruffalo revealed ahead of Infinity War's release, that arc will continue into a third film with Avengers 4.

By the look of some footage used in the Infinity War trailers that could in fact be from Avengers 4's second battle of Wakanda, they'll resolve their issues. And that probably means Hulk will get a chance to lay some smackdown on Thanos in revenge for the beating he got at the start of the movie.

Might we see a resolution to the romance he has shared with Black Widow too?

Fate: Survived

Though she could have been classed as an expendable figure, Natasha was actually an important cog in the Avengers machine in the Infinity War battles. And we can expect more of the same - she still doesn't really have much of her own story at the minute (aside from her dynamic with Hulk), so she'll be ass-kicking again, most probably.

Killing her off might be an odd decision with her solo movie coming out, but that wouldn't necessarily ruin the marketing for a prequel.
