Avengers: Age Of Ultron Ending - 10 Major Repercussions For The MCU

3. An Age Of Miracles

The first proper look at Age Of Ultron came in the mid-credits sting of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Baron Von Strucker was shown hanging out in the same HYDRA outpost the Avengers raid at the start of the new movie, heralding the €œAge Of Miracles€ in reference to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Part of that was evading the use of the word mutant (only Fox are allowed to do that), but it's more than that really. It's still not known how Strucker used Loki's stolen sceptre to give the Maximoff twins powers in the first place, but that glossed-over plot point actually has major ramifications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If anyone can be given powers using some mad scientist experiment, surely this Earth will be full of superpowers in much the same way as the comics? The Age Of Miracles may very well be heralding the Inhumans, a race of evolved beings who have their own solo movie on the horizon. The Mind Gem in Loki's sceptre is said to enhance existing abilities, and the Inhumans are people with untapped powers brought out by a process called terrigenesis. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch just got confirmed as Inhumans in the comics, so this €œAge Of Miracles€ could be the first mention of Inhumanity.
