Back To The Future: 10 Giant Plot Holes You Probably Missed
5. Old Biff And Young Biff Chatting
"So Doc Brown invented a time machine..." I gotta hand it to old Biff, that was always a clever plan for a dim person. BTTF often stated the rules of their universe in a garrulous plea from Doc ending in consequences for their actions that were either very minor or wildly catastrophic. The ridiculousness of these diatribes was probably the reason we embraced them. One of the most memorable is that when a younger version of a person sees their older counterpart, they will either faint from shock, or the space-time continuum will unravel. One or the other will happen. Lucky for us, the audience finds out that it was the former when Jennifer ran into herself. Later, Older Doc helped Only Kinda Old Doc when prepping for the sequence that took place at the end of the first film, but made sure not to make eye contact so he must still not be totally sure of the effects. All this trouble, yet old Biff had no problem chewing the fat with his younger self when he stole the DeLorean to deliver the almanac? I mean Biff is a tough guy and all but he neither passes out or causes a catastrophe in the space time continuum. Why don't the rules apply to him?
