BAFTAs 2017: Predicting Every Winner

Prediction: Tom Holland

Of the eleven Rising Star Awards given out at the BAFTAs, only three have ever gone to non-British actors (Eva Green, Shia LaBeouf and Kristen Stewart), and as Holland's the only fully-fledged British actor of the group this year (which also includes Laia Costa, Lucas Hedges, Ruth Negga and Anya Taylor-Joy), he's basically a shoo-in to win already.

Plus, it's voted on by the public, and why the Hell wouldn't they pick Spider-Man?

Should He Win?: Costa was fantastic in the film Victoria, Hedges made a name for himself in Manchester by the Sea, Negga was sublime in Loving and Taylor-Joy was marvelous in The Witch, but Holland's profile has shot up substantially with his superb turn as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, and in just a few short months he'll be playing him in his own solo movie.

And yes, though Holland is now starring in $200+ million movies, he's still a rising star, because we need to see what other parts he's going to take on with all that new-found fame.
