Christian Bale's suit in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises significantly improved upon his initial suit. First of all, the new Batsuit allows him to turn his head freely which makes every action a great deal easier. The protective qualities were also upgraded extensively. This suit features hardened Kevlar plates over top of titanium-dipped fiber. Additionally, the armor is also broken into different sections to allow for higher mobility, though that does leave a few openings for Bats to wounded by knives and bullets.

Some changes were also made to the gauntlets, which now have fins that can be shot out of the sockets toward enemies. Another great addition were the sonar vision lenses added into the cowl. These allowed the Caped Crusader to see Gotham in a free-moving, digital like environment.

Visually, this Batsuit is menacing and intimidating, and it is easy to tell that it's well built and durable. The Bat symbol is unfortunately not very easy to see, which makes it feel a bit less iconic. Regardless, there is a lot to appreciate about this suit, and it is a hard one to beat.
