As if us bat-freaks weren't sceptical enough about the Princess Diaries actress Anne Hathaway attempting to play the role of Catwoman - or The Cat as she is referred to in the film - it was revealed that during her audition she had no idea that she was auditioning for Catwoman and instead believed she was auditioning for the role of the Joker's equally insane partner in crime and on/off again fling Harley Quinn. Only after Christopher Nolan pointed it out did she realise she was actually trying for the part of Catwoman...Dear, oh dear. Apparently her reasoning behind it was that she had convinced herself that Nolan was not interested in reinterpreting a character that had been done so well.
