Batman Movies: 10 Obscure Facts You Never Knew
6. Jim Carry Wanted Question Mark Shaved Into His Scalp For The Riddler But Didn't Because Of Court Appearance I believe that when Schumacher cast the ever crazy Jim Carrey as The Riddler, it was one of his superior choices of cast (in a list of terribly poor choices as I'm sure many bat-fans will agree). One of the reasons that I personally believe he is a good choice is because he is very charismatic and eccentric as a person, and when he applied that to the character it bought out a whole new idea of the Riddler; dastardly yet clearly insane. Jim Carrey also had a helping hand in designing most of the Riddler costumes himself, bringing the madness of his personality to his appearance, and never wearing the same costume twice, bringing up the question of - when did the Riddler have time to make all these? When he was taking a break from making pop-up riddles? But perhaps one of Carrey's more insane ideas for his Riddler character was to have the infamous question mark shaved into the top of his scalp... Thankfully the idea was scrapped pretty quickly as Carrey had forgotten that he was due in court in order to finalise his divorce with his first wife and former actress Mellisa Womer whom he married in 1987. I guess walking into a courtroom with a bald patch resembling a question mark wouldn't have looked too good on his part.
