Batman V Superman: 10 Plot Holes That Make No Sense

1. Why Can't Superman Retrieve The Spear From The Pool, But Can Then Fly With It In His Grasp?

As Batman v Superman's explosive final battle against Doomsday plays out, Lois Lane suddenly realises that the Kryptonite spear that Batman created in order to kill Superman might be useful in getting rid of Lex Luthor's genetic monster once and for all. How she knows that, exactly, is never explained, but we'll give her the benefit of the doubt on that one because otherwise this article would never end. As she races back to retrieve the spear she tossed into a pool earlier in the movie, then, she becomes trapped by some rubble and begins to drown. Superman is forced to save her at this point (and does exactly that), but is himself unable to pick up the spear because - that's right - it's Kryptonite. He falls unconscious, and Lois is forced to pull him out of the pool. The thing we learn here, as movie-goers, is that Superman can't touch that spear. It's then that Lois grabs the spear out from the water, and - for no reason - Superman is suddenly able to touch it for long enough to fly it over to Doomsday, where he proceeds to use it to kill the monster. But how did he go from not even being able to touch the spear at all, to being able to carry it close to his chest for five seconds?
