Batman V Superman: 10 Plot Holes That Make No Sense

2. Why Would Batman Think Wonder Woman Was "With" Superman?

As Doomsday wreaks havoc on Metropolis and sends a flaming burst of energy at Batman, he's suddenly saved by the arrival of Wonder Woman, who deflects the blast with her shield. "Is she with you?" asks Superman in his only semi-humorous line reading in the whole film, only for Batman to come back: "I thought she was with you." This moment played out in the various incarnations of the movie trailer, which means that it had lost most of its impact by the time we actually heard it. Also: it makes no sense, because - at this point - Batman knows who Wonder Woman is; he also definitely knows that she's not with Superman. There is no logical reason for him to say "I thought she was with you," save for the writers not being able to remove such a "hilarious" line from their script. But it doesn't work, based on what Batman has learnt prior to this scene. It simply wouldn't have entered his head to actually say it out loud.
