Batman V Superman: 10 Reasons Troy Baker Would Be The Perfect Joker
9. Wed Get A Theatrical Joker
Jack Nicholsons version of the Joker was much more theatrical than Heath Ledgers. He made his rather odd TV show, and he had that frankly absurd scene where he danced around the gallery. This is the type of character that The Joker should be in the DC Cinematic Universe. Troy Bakers voice acting credits would enable him to fulfil this part of the character extremely well. This would help with differentiating Baker from Ledgers performance, and it would enable Baker to bring his own take into Batmans arch nemesis. This theatricality is prevalent in the Arkham games, and Origins is no exception. Baker has the ability to bring this theatricality to life without it looking laughable; Nicholsons style worked when the film was released, but this is not the case now. Baker is easily capable of reinvigorating this side of The Joker for a new generation, and his performance in Origins cements his capacity to make The Jokers dramatic style work on screen in the modern age.
