10. Why Is Wonder Woman Retired At The Start Of The Movie?

The Question: When we first meet Diana Prince, her time as Wonder Woman appears to be all but a distant memory, as she takes commercial flights despite her obvious powers and is in search of an image of her, Steve Trevor and others from the early 20th century. What, exactly, caused her to retire from the superhero life and become an antiquities dealer? The Likely Answer: It's clear that something significant will happen in Wonder Woman's standalone movie that provokes a period of hibernation, quite possibly the aftermath of the movie's climactic battle which may well result in the death of her lover Trevor. Perhaps she accidentally has a hand in it and so vows to leave her demigoddess powers behind? Of course, this could just be too obvious and we'll get something else entirely, so we'll have to wait and see...
