13. The Waynes

We've seen the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne a lot over the years, from various television shows and video games to big screen takes on the event in Tim Burton's Batman, Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever, and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. It's pivotal to Bruce Wayne's story, so entrenched in pop culture itself that even people who know little to nothing about the character know that the event served as ground zero for his becoming Batman. Despite the fact that Batman v Superman is thankfully skipping an origin story for the latest Batman - we really don't need another one for a character as well-known as he is - it's still going to highlight the murder of the Waynes, with Jeffrey Dean Morgan notably portraying Thomas. Considering how important it is for the character, it'll be nice to see it, however obligatory it may be, and get audiences straight back to a Batman in his prime rather than starting completely anew with the character still in his early days.
