7. Holly Hunter - Senator Finch

Senator Finch is kind of a confused character, and Holly Hunter plays her as if she doesn't quite know whether she's supposed to be a good guy or a bad guy. As such, her performance is muddled and ill-defined, but it's not bad (c'mon, she's Holly Hunter - when is she ever bad?). Hunter spends most of her time interacting with Lex Luthor, unfortunately, and they share a sort of anti-chemistry whenever it occurs - in the sense that you'd rather be watching Hunter acting opposite anyone else. She gets a few lines here and there, but due to the dodging scripting, we never really get a sense of who Senator Finch is. A waste of a talented actress, for sure, but hey... it's nice to see Holly Hunter again, at least: she hasn't been in a film for two years.
