20 Greatest Horror Movie Endings of the 2020s (So Far)

And finally we have Zach Cregger's Weapons, which delivers one of the most satisfying horror ending of not only the decade, but basically ever.

Malevolent witch Gladys (Amy Madigan) finally has her rampage put to an end when her "nephew" Alex (Cary Christopher) uses her own spell against her, causing the seventeen children she kidnapped to rabidly pursue Gladys herself like heat-seeking missiles.

Knowing what's about to happen, all a petrified Gladys can do is run through the neighbourhood, yet the children are ultimately too fast for her, eventually catching up and tearing her apart.

Gladys' death breaks her influence over them, and while Archer (Josh Brolin) retrieves his missing son, the closing narration leaves it ambiguous as to whether all of the bewitched children will ever return to fully normal.

Considering that Gladys is one of the most brilliantly detestable horror villains of recent years, seeing her get torn apart by a feral pack of children was oh-so-satisfying, not to mention unexpectedly hilarious.
