20 Totally INSANE Moments From Recent Horror Movies

14. Bedroom Car Crash - Whistle

Though Whistle didn't fully deliver on the potential insanity of its bonkers premise - where anyone who hears an Aztec death whistle is hunted down by a manifestation of their intended future death - it did serve up one of the most inventively nasty death scenes of the decade.

While in the apparent safety of his bedroom, Dean (Jhaleil Swaby) is suddenly thrown into the air with huge force before his limbs are violently and slowly broken, making it abundantly clear that he was fated to perish in a car accident.

Dean's terrified parents finally manage to break into his room, just in time to witness their son's gory remains collapse to the floor in a nauseating red heap.

In a film that otherwise doesn't push its Final Destination-esque setup nearly far enough, this was the single death scene that went sufficiently hard - and then some.
