7. Margot Robbie's Fantastic Performance

Birds of Prey Margot Robbie
Warner Bros.

Surprising absolutely nobody, Margot Robbie is the absolute highlight of this movie, giving another terrifically entertaining performance as Harley, and one that evolves the character in a number of ways.

First and foremost, the film overall makes a clear attempt to soften Harley's psychopathy from Suicide Squad - even having her fire non-lethal weapons at innocent cops - while amping up the endearing, almost childlike cartoonishness of her character.

And yet, Robbie's performance manages to ground her as a plausible human being just enough not to be grating, while once again proving that it's tough to imagine any other actress playing the part better.

This is already Robbie's signature role, and hopefully she'll get countless more opportunities to play it in the future.
