Black Widow Movie: 10 Things It Must Include

Although Black Widow has mostly featured as a supporting character off the screen, having formed partnerships with the likes of Daredevil, Hawkeye, Captain America and more, her newly found popularity has galvanised the character's comics. As such, there's plenty of source material to look to when plotting a Widow film, particularly in Mark Waid, Chris Samnee and Matt Wilson's run on the character.
Kicking things off with 2016's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Most Wanted, the creative trio set about telling a story that revitalised Romanoff's origins, taking inspiration from the Red Room of the MCU and going one step further with a tale befitting of not only their reputation, but of Nat's as well.
It's a stellar run, and while it would appear as though there's little chance of seeing Nat and Bucky get together on the big screen, the way Waid handles their romance in the comic is fantastic, further building upon the threads set up in Ed Brubaker's seminal Captain America series a decade earlier.
Winter Soldier already took the best bits of Brubaker's comic in constructing its tale of Bucky Barnes' resurrection, so if the Black Widow film were to spin a similar thread in Waid and Samnee's direction, it'll only be stronger because of it.
