Bond 24: 10 Visionary Directors To Shake Up The Franchise

8. Edgar Wright

Known for: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Why he should be considered: Edgar Wright has an immensely distinct and personal style that is highly energetic, overflowing with youthful zest. His films have a loose, anything-goes attitude and yet, feel extremely thoughtful. You notice how much care and intelligence goes into each movie he makes, which would make him a perfect candidate for the next Bond film.

On top of being a gifted director, he is an equally gifted writer who could also help with the screenplay. For Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, he stepped up his game in the visual effects department and crafted some amazing fight scenes that made Michael Cera look like a badass (which is no easy task). Although he is busy with his next film, The World€™s End, and will be following that up with Marvel€™s live action adaptation of Ant-Man, I hope Edgar one day has a chance to take a crack at Bond.
