Why he should be considered: Michel Gondry is probably the most unabashedly quirky director on this list, know for insanely creative camera tricks and dream-like imagery. Although this may cause many to think he should stick with the indie field of filmmaking, his involvement with The Green Hornet points towards a director who can successfully blend mainstream filmmaking without sacrificing their visual touch. The Green Hornet wasn€™t a masterpiece by any means but it was still a pretty good film with the weak link being the screenplay; Michel Gondry€™s visual flourishes really helped elevate this film and made it more unique than it ever deserved to be.
