Bond 24: 10 Visionary Directors To Shake Up The Franchise

3. Darren Aronofsky

Darren-Aronofsky

Known for: Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain

Why he should be considered: Darren Aronofsky is high on this list because he simply hasn€™t made a bad film yet. Even his least critically acclaimed film (The Fountain) is immensely ambitious and more interesting that half of what came out that year. If you watch that film, you will definitely notice a distinct vision at play with a plentiful amount of gorgeous colors to drink in. Then, when you watch The Wrestler, you will see almost the opposite end of the visual spectrum. One of Darren€™s best features is his capacity to adapt his sensibilities to the material at hand. Every shot has a purpose and is filled with painstaking detail that is rewarding over multiple screenings. If Darren was allowed to work his magic on Bond, you can be sure it would be a thoughtful piece full of considerable depth.
