1. Russ Duritz - The Kid (2000)
Wait: Looper wasn't the first film in which Bruce Willis hangs out with himself from the past? No, The Kid tried it 12 years earlier, though with rather disastrous results. Their first mistake was probably casting Spencer Breslin as young Bruce Willis (instead of someone good like Joseph Gordon-Levitt). We're supposed to buy that Bruce is the older version of Spencer, so perhaps he started acting badly to make it more believable that they were the same character. Or perhaps this was yet another film in which Bruce was only showing up to set for the money. Either way, Bruce's performance as Russ Duritz is completely phoned in to the point that every line of dialogue feels like a chore. I don't expect him to work magic with this sort of script, but he could at least look like he's trying to churn out a half-decent product that his kids might have been able to enjoy. Then again, I suppose they can't all be as good as Die Hard. Bruce... I still love you.
