Captain America - Civil War: 10 Characters Martin Freeman Could Be Playing

9. Jarvis 2.0

Martin Freeman Captain Britain
Marvel Comics

Freeman could fill this role in one of two ways: as either the new computer J.A.R.V.I.S. or new human Edwin Jarvis.

Even though Tony Stark installed F.R.I.D.A.Y., a new operating system at the end of Age of Ultron, he could just as easily create an upgrade or use one of the other systems he had on hand. Perhaps he craves a return to a charming, male British voice instead of a female Irish one.

It would be a minuscule role but as seen with Paul Bettany, that doesn't mean there isn't room for it too grow. And with someone as busy as Freeman, having to go in and record for only one day at a studio might be preferable.

Batman isn't the only one with a loyal British butler. Alternatively, we could see an introduction of the human Edwin Jarvis, famous butler to the Avengers. He’s appeared in Agent Carter, so, for continuity's sake, just call him Edwin Jarvis III and have Freeman play a sassy butler. This might be a huge waste of his talents, but he would likely kill it in his small screen time.
