Captain America: Civil War - 13 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know (March 18th)
7. ...But There Won't Be Any Reference To Agents Of SHIELD In Civil War
Unfortunately for fans of the small screen arm of the MCU, there's no plans with Civil War to actually acknowledge the fact that their narratives are incredibly important to Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.. It's not a reciprocal relationship at all: and the issue, apparently comes down partly to the unhelpful confusion over the Inhumans and a fundamental lack of awareness from the writers. In their conversation with Hitfix, co-writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely admitted they didn't really have a clue what was currently happening in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. so it's unlikely we're going to see any reflection of that narrative in Civil War.
I have to confess, having come here, I've seen no TV since I got here in April. I haven't seen the vast majority of this season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. There's fish oil?
Rating: 10/10 It's got to be true: those words came directly from the writers, and again, it shouldn't come as much of a shock. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. might represent an intriguing opportunity to extend storylines out from the MCU, but if they ever go the other way (with shows informing how the MCU plays out), expect Hell to have frozen over first.
