6. Zemo IS Red Skull

It's been a rumour for a while now, but the new trailer - and its inclusion of that strange yellow chamber (with a mysterious character within) - has set tongues wagging again that Baron Zemo is actually involved heavily in the revival of Red Skull. According to one theory by CinemaBlend, in fact, it could be the case that Zemo uses his own body to bring Red Skull's soul back from wherever the Tesseract zapped him to (the Quantum Realm?) If that's not the case, there's surely going to be a big reveal of what this yellow chamber and its inhabitant mean...

Rating: 6/10 We can only hope: the consciously suppression of Zemo has been a very obvious part of marketing - just as much as the choice to include Spider-Man - and the hints in the trailers do suggest there are some serious experiments still going on in HYDRA's bases. We know that there were initially plans to bring back Red Skull, but that was scuppered by Hugo Weaving's ambivalence, so maybe this is the final answer to how it goes down? Perhaps that's just wishful thinking.
