Well, we all have to prepare ourselves for this possibility, don't we? Though it seems unlikely that Captain America will meet his end in Civil War as he does in the comic book series of the same name, there's a small chance that Steve Rogers won't make it through to the next chapter of the MCU saga. Chris Evans has talked about leaving a good number of times, and it would make for some insane drama if one of the biggest Marvel heroes ended up dead following the events of the movie. That's saying of nothing of allowing a great post-credits scene. Just imagine a stinger that sees Bucky Barnes - The Winter Soldier - looking through Steve's possessions in the wake of his death. He picks up a few things, one by one, and then... he clutches the the iconic shield, raising it slightly, as the inevitably dramatic music - because there's always dramatic music - sounds out. It'd cut to black here, of course, but the seed will have been planted and Bucky will have subtly positioned himself as the next Captain America. Hey, it's probably going to happen eventually, so if Steve is going to bite the dust might as well get to it.
