3. Venom (Topher Grace)
Not actually one of the absolute
worst but, as one of the most high-profile of the bad depictions, certainly one of the most
disappointing. Venom actually
looked good, but Topher Grace as the Eddie Brock character simply did not work. Brock is supposed to be a muscular athlete with long-term stress, anger and depression issues. And while Grace did 'buff up' a little bit for the role, he was still far too slight and whiny, and the character's development was far too neglected and shallow.
