4. Galactus (CGI)
What the
hell was this about? Galactus, the planet-devouring cosmic entity and known scourge of the Fantastic Four, is generally depicted as a huge humanoid in a large, purple, armoured outfit with a trademark helmet (which was briefly shown in the form of a shadow in the movie). What we ultimately got in the Rise of the Silver Surfer movie was a giant cloud. That's it. Arguments can be made that it has been explained in the comics that Galactus is perceived differently by different people, and one might argue that it would be very difficult to seriously convey a giant man with a purple helmet as a planetary threat on the big screen, but this cloud version was
so far removed the Galactus that we are familiar with that it was nothing short of pathetic. It didn't help matters that the film 'he' (can we even call it that?) appeared in was utterly garbage.
