DC Extended Universe: Predicting The Plots Of 10 Announced Movies
2. Cyborg (2020)
In what is probably the weirdest placing of a comic book movie within a franchise since... well... Inhumans after Avengers: Infinity War - Part Two in the MCU, Cyborg will follow Justice League Part Two and it will probably be a massive mood-killer. The second Justice League movie will be an epic spectacle and a much smaller-scale solo movie of a little-known comic book character just won't be able to follow it adequately. Granted, by this point, Ray Fisher's character will be established and, quite possibly, very popular (look to Iron Man for inspiration about that), but he just doesn't have enough going on to make a movie worthy of following on from what will already have been released. His rogues gallery, for instance, is weak as hell. While this won't be an origin story (for reasons already mentioned), his S.T.A.R. Labs origins will certainly be touched upon more than they have been - probably in flashback scenes and basic discussions - and we'll learn a lot more about Victor Stone as a man. He will probably be deployed by the government in some capacity (anti-terrorism, warfare etc), but will encounter a villain along the way. Who that villain turns out to be really is anyone's guess, but it will likely be someone like Deathstroke or Grid. There may also be hints towards the future formation of the Teen Titans in the DCEU.
